My mother's currently at the hospital because she says her back hurts badly. Later, I will see her, along with my sister. When she told me, I am afraid I did not show much expression of sympathy. She has imagined too many maladies and loved attention too much these years that I am usually skeptical. Perhaps I am being too harsh.
I've gone through my module for this coming semester. To my disappointment, I will not be taking Sports and Wellness in this module. Well okay, I totally suck at running long-distance and basketball and volleyball (perhaps I am badly affected by how constipated the players look when they are trying to get the ball or to the finishing line first. Yes, I think that's it) but I badly want to play tennis. [you get to choose any sport you want to play for S&W. How cool is that?]
I would join tennis as a cca, but my year one schedule does look pretty long on some days already and I hear Year Two gets worse. I think I will either join Photography or French Club. Photography meets every Tuesday, and French Club every two weeks but I am not sure on which day.
My module for this semester includes:
-
Speech Communication (sounds like a class I may hate already. Speech? I'm not good at speeches. They sound ridiculous from most people. Like they aren't from the heart. I don't trust things said in speeches. Impromptu is the best. )
-
Radio Production (I suppose I will be twiddling knobs around the radio equipment.)
-
Social Psychology & Communication (Aha! Something that will make up to me for not being allowed to take the Psychology course)
-
Written Communication (I think it will be tedious but something I will like : Compositions)
The extra IS modules :
-
Individual & Community (I'm not sure what it is. I think it is community service done verbally. Or Civics Ed.)
-
Exploring Comtemporary Issues. (I thought it sounded fun but when I read the description, I thought it's the type of lesson where you are made to draw up shit loads of mindmaps.)
Check out the module the other half of MCM are taking and which I will take next semester:
-
Graphic Communication (speaks for itself, aye?)
-
Introduction to Web Design & Computer Graphics (ditto)
-
Location Video Production (sounds like the type of class where you need to lug around too many, heavy equipment)
-
Media in Society (sigh! History/Social Studies class.)
-
Principles of Marketing Communication (Let me quote: 'Through projects and case studies, students are provided with the basic skills in marketing analysis and planning using the marketing mix of product, price, place and promotion.' You know what? I hate it already.)
IS:
-
Sports & Wellness-
Creativity & Applied Thinking Skills (More mindmaps! Hurraaaaay. Not.)
i thought the world of you
